GT1 World Championship 2011 - Round 5 'Tourist Trophy' - Silverstone 4th & 5th June 2011.
Round 5 of the 2011 FIA GT1 championship was the first race to be held using the new 'wing' pit complex and the new start/finish straight at Silverstone. The Silverstone round of the GT1 world championship had moved from its traditional early May date to a little later in the calendar. The weather for the Silverstone round was superb with the JR Motorsport Nissan GTR of Michael Krumm and Lucas Luhr being crowned the winners of the coverted 'Tourist Trophy'
